Affiliate Disclosure
Effective date: 7 October 2026
True Aspect is paid when a reader follows one of its links and buys a subscription. This page explains who pays, what it costs the reader, and what the payment does and does not influence.
The arrangement
KLIMA Z.A.I., s.r.o. publishes True Aspect and takes part in an affiliate programme for Norton AntiVirus Plus. Certain links here point to that vendor's website and carry a code identifying this site as the source of the referral. If a reader follows one and buys a subscription, the affiliate network that operates the link pays KLIMA Z.A.I., s.r.o. a commission.
The commission comes out of the vendor's own margin. It is not a surcharge and is not added at checkout: the reader pays the vendor's normal price, the same price they would pay arriving any other way. Readers who prefer not to generate a commission can search for the product by name instead; nothing here is withheld from them for doing so.
How affiliate links are marked
Every affiliate link is identified where it appears, in three places:
- A disclosure box on the homepage, in ordinary body text, before the index and never hidden behind a control.
- A line beside each affiliate link, saying it is paid and that a commission is earned.
- This page, linked from the footer of every page on the site.
Affiliate links also carry the technical markings search engines use to recognise paid links, and open in a new tab. The destination is the real one: no redirector of our own, no disguising, no rewriting after the page loads. Hovering over the link shows the address it leads to.
What the commission does not decide
This is the part that matters, and it is worth being specific rather than offering a general assurance.
- It does not decide which concepts are covered. Entries exist because the idea is needed to understand something else here, or because it is misunderstood in a way that costs people money.
- It does not decide the order of anything. The index and the sidebar are alphabetical. No position on this site can be bought.
- It does not decide what entries say. Several conclude that the answer is a habit, a backup or a feature already built into the operating system rather than a purchase.
- It does not soften the limitations. The entries on phishing and signature detection state plainly what antivirus software cannot do.
- It does not produce praise. The product entry, Norton AntiVirus Plus at a glance, carries no recommendation, score or comparison. It records what the vendor states and lists, at greater length, what it does not.
What does decide it
Coverage is decided by whether an idea is needed to understand the subject. Within an entry, the content is decided by what a reader in Australia would actually search for, and by what can be stated without inventing it: claims about law or official guidance link to the body responsible, and claims that cannot be sourced are written as general guidance or left out.
Test figures, prices and testimonials are excluded as a matter of method. The full method is set out under "How entries are chosen and maintained" on the About page.
What a reader should keep in mind
One limitation deserves stating directly: this site links commercially to one product, and that is the product it is paid to link to. True Aspect is not a survey of the antivirus market. The presence of a single product entry is not a finding that it is the best available, because no such comparison has been carried out here.
Before buying, the vendor's own site is the place to confirm the price for the first term, the price on renewal, how many devices are covered and how to cancel. Consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law apply in addition to any seller's policy; the ACCC explains them.
Privacy and affiliate links
Following an affiliate link leaves this site. The destination and the network may then set cookies on their own domains to record the referral, under their own policies. KLIMA Z.A.I., s.r.o. receives commission reports, uses them only to reconcile payments, and does not seek information identifying readers. True Aspect itself sets no cookies. See the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Trademarks
Norton AntiVirus Plus and every other brand named on True Aspect are trademarks of their respective holders. Naming them here does not mean True Aspect is affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by those holders, other than through the paid links described on our disclosure page.
